If you need to add a column in SQL server follow the steps given below instead of directly executing the script:
Email to Dev Lead: Send an email to the Dev Lead with the details of the script you want to implement. The Dev Lead’s email is (devleads@cartzlink.com).
Why: Explain why you want to make this change.
Where: Specify where this change will be made, such as the table name in case of adding a column.
What: adding a column, provide the column name.
Details: Describe the column data type.
Check Response: Wait for a response from the Dev Lead and review their feedback.
Initial Script Execution: If it is decided to execute the script, proceed with the execution and check all areas that might be affected to ensure nothing is disturbed.
Impact Assessment: After 1 or 2 days, if everything is stable, commit the code; otherwise, do not commit it.
